Q: When is check-in and check-out?
For campsites, check-in is at 2 pm and check-out is at 1 pm. For rental units, check-in is at 3 pm and check-out is at 11 am. Please call for early check-in on your campsite. Early check-in is not available for rental units.
Where do I park my vehicle?
Please park on designated campsites only. Each Cabin (A, B, C, F) and campsites are allowed one car, with a $5 fee for one additional vehicle (not to exceed 2 vehicles per site). Violators are subject to a $25 fine and having their vehicle towed. Please respect our parking rules during your stay.
Can I have guests during my stay!
Yes you may! Please inform your guests that they MUST register and pay the visitor fee at the office. After they have registered and paid, they are welcome to enjoy the park amenities with you.
Q: Can I bring my pet camping with me?
If you are booking a stay at a campsite, yes! We allow one pet per campsite (additional pets $10 each, 2 pets max.) as long as it is kept quiet and on a leash. All pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations before visiting the campground. No vicious breeds allowed.
Q: Are pets allowed in the rental units?
Unfortunately no. You are welcome to bring your pets to a campsite, but we do not permit pets on reservations for any of our cabin rentals. Pets are not allowed in any Building, Rental Unit, Bath House, Barn, Annex, Store/Office and the Pond/Beach.
Q: How do I make my reservation?
You can call or book online to make a reservation. All reservations must be paid in full at time of booking by Visa, MasterCard or Discover. RESERVATIONS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. For group reservations, an individual name must be assigned to each site being reserved and payment must be made for each site at time of reservation. Wisconsin State Law prohibits more than six people per campsite. Please let us know if there have been any changes to your camping unit size as soon as possible.
Q: Who can make a reservation?
Anyone 21 years or older can make a reservation, and an adult of at least 21 years old must be present in your camping party and staying on-site.
Q: What is the minimum reservation?
Friday and Saturday reservations require a 2-night minimum. For holiday weekends, we require a 3-night minimum.
Q: Who can use the Swimming Pond?
Campers and Day Guests at Red Barn are both welcome to use the Swimming Pond! The Swimming Pond and beach area is free to enjoy for our campers. Outside Visitor/Day Guests must register at the office and pay the daily visitor fee.
Q: How close is Red Barn Campground to Shell Lake?
Shell Lake is only two blocks from the campground. There is a boat access area only two miles from the campground which makes it very easy to get out and enjoy swimming, fishing and boating in Shell Lake.
